Philadelphia Eagles LB Jordan Hicks suffers hand injury

A summery voyage to a land faraway has gone wrong for Jordan Hicks.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Eagles linebacker injured his hand Thursday while exiting a pool during a honeymoon trip to Greece, per a source informed of the situation.

Rapoport was told that the injury is not considered serious, although there’s a chance Hicks could miss the start of training camp.

Jimmy Kempski of cheapjerseys noted that Hicks sent a “video of his hand, performing an array of motions for [Eagles] doctors to view” after the accident. The team will certainly want to meet with the linebacker upon his return.

Hicks was married June 24, according to his Instagram account, and remains a big part of Philly’s plans on defense.

Since being drafted in the third round in 2015, the 25-year-old defender finished last season as the NFL’s seventh-rated inside linebacker. He also served as a ball hawk, racking up five picks after notching a pair of interceptions — including a pick six — as a rookie.

Philadelphia agreed to terms with its first-round pick on his four-year rookie deal on Thursday.

With Fletcher Cox back at OTAs after a brief absence and Barnett locked and loaded for the next four years, the Eagles’ front seven can finally visualize its potential for the upcoming season. If the early reviews are any indication, Barnett should thrive under defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz’s guidance in 2017.

To that end, the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft called upon respected biomechanics guru Adam Dedeaux for a couple of weeks of rewiring early in the offseason. Dedeaux and his mentor, former MLB pitcher Tom House, have enjoyed success with a slew of veteran quarterbacks, including Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and Andy Dalton.

As Wentz breaks in new receivers Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith during offseason practices, he’s confident that his long-armed looping windup and shaky footwork have been streamlined in preparation for his second season.

“What made me go there?” Wentz said in an interview with Peter King of The MMQB. “Knowing so many good players went there and it helped them. I never want to stop learning. There are so many little things about playing this position that to the naked eye you won’t see when you watch me. But I do feel I am improved mechanically.”

Wentz insists he’s “way more comfortable” in his second year at the helm of Doug Peterson’s offense.

philadelphia eagles jerseys cheap authentic

“It’s OTAs, I know. But things have slowed down,” Wentz continued. “I’m not thinking about everything anymore — last year I was. Now I can feel the important things early in the play — where’s my answer, what are my options, what will work? It’s a different game when you can dial it down and feel you know what’s important to look for, and you’re not looking at every little thing out there.”

As important as it is for Wentz to master the pre- and post-snap recognitions required of established NFL quarterbacks, it’s just as crucial that he checks in with Dedeaux and Eagles QBs coach John DeFilippo for regular maintenance on his mechanics.

While Blake Bortles notoriously allowed his throwing motion to backslide in a wasted 2016 season, high-profile veterans such as Brady and Ryan are known to fly Dedeaux in for tune-ups during offseason practices as well as game weeks.

“The great ones — and we think (Wentz) is going to be that way — the guys that want to be good are constantly working on their mechanics to make it better,” DeFelippo explained Monday.

No one doubts Wentz’s physical tools, football IQ or commitment to excellence. After finishing his rookie season near the bottom in yards per attempt (6.2) and passer rating (79.3), though, he must demonstrate tangible progress as a consistent passer before he’s viewed as a frontline quarterback — much less a franchise savior capable of ending a six-decade championship drought in Philadelphia.

Linebacker Connor Barwin tweeted a picture of him signing a new contract

Philadelphia Eagles jersey cheap

Just hours before free agency gets underway on Thursday, the Eagles released a player who epitomized what every team wants to find on the open market in defensive end Connor Barwin.

“Connor Barwin is a tremendous teammate, player, and an even better person,” Howie Roseman said. “He represented the Philadelphia Eagles with class and integrity for the past four seasons and we appreciate his efforts both on and off the field.

Defensive end Connor Barwin and his Make The World Better (mtwb) Foundation raised $200,000 at their 3rd annual benefit concert at Union Transfer on Friday. All proceeds from the sold-out concert, which were matched by Barwin, will be donated directly to the foundation’s next major park renovation project in Philadelphia, Waterloo Playground (2501 Waterloo Street). The site is located in the West Kensington section of Philadelphia. Over the past three years, Barwin and mtwb have raised more than $685,000 for park renovations in the City of Philadelphia through their annual benefit concert.

Linebacker Connor Barwin knows this well, and on Wednesday he will board the team flight and head back to his hometown of Detroit for the Thanksgiving showdown with the Detroit Lions.

However, that didn’t hold the Eagle back from sharing his story and allowing the cameras into his home. Finding such success as a football player means Barwin has had his fair share of experiences with the media, but nothing to this magnitude.

Earlier this week, linebacker Connor Barwin tweeted a picture of him signing a new contract. On Friday morning, Barwin was a guest on the 94 WIP Morning Show. He explained that the Philadelphia Eagles jerseys approached him about the contract restructure and that there was no negotiation. The Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro linebacker hopes that this will help allow him to finish his career with the team.

I’ve been in Arizona for just a couple of days and it’s been a great experience. The best part is getting to know guys that you don’t know from other teams, and you get a chance to meet them and get to know them as people, and then seeing guys that you do know and have played with in the past and you have some time to reminisce and enjoy that personal time. This is my first experience and it’s really cool for me.

That’s the general reaction from rookies: It’s a blur. From the instant they arrive in Philadelphia and are picked up at the airport and brought to the NovaCare Complex, the pace is fast and the depth of information needed, at every level, is furious.

“I spent most of my season in the playbook or at the Complex working,” guard Isaac Seumalo said. “It’s all you do. It’s a business. This is my job. I need to be on top of everything to have the kind of success I want to have.”

The 2017 Rookie Class meets at the NovaCare Complex on Thursday to go through a variety of essential steps. They must be fitted for their practice helmets, equipment, and jerseys. They meet with their position coaches and are given scripts – scheme introduction – that they will need to know for the practices Friday through Sunday. Head coach Doug Pederson will address the group as one. Dinner is served. Vans to the hotel are running at exact times.

Wentz was joined by quarterback Deshaun Watson, who guided the Clemson Tigers to the National Championship in January and is a potential first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. The two appeared on behalf of JCPenney, as the store fitted the young men for suits of their own and provided gift cards.

It was a fun afternoon, and as always I learned a lot from Quick, and we started the session with a look at Williams against Pittsburgh, Clemson’s lone loss of the season. In a high-scoring game, Williams had a career day, catching 15 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown. There were a lot of opportunities for us to evaluate Williams with the ball going his way, but it only took one snap, where he wasn’t even targeted, for him to draw praise from the Eagles Hall of Famer.

“See this release? This is the first play and I like him already,” Quick said. It was first-and-10, and quarterback Deshaun Watson goes to the other side of the field with this ball, but Williams is lined up on the left facing a press corner. He runs a fade and is able to get on top of the corner efficiently.

“There’s no wasted motion. He’s not bailing to the outside. He’s going right at the corner’s shoulder. He’s not wasting any time getting upfield, I like that,” Quick continued. “If this play comes to him he’s in great position just off the ball to go up and make a play.” It was Williams’ release that caught Quick’s eye again just four plays later.

This is a quarterback class riddled with question marks. Mitch Trubisky has only started 13 games. DeShone Kizer didn’t win enough. Patrick Mahomes struggles to play within structure. Nate Peterman doesn’t have tools that blow you away. Watson’s play was a bit uneven this year and, like Peterman, there’s nothing physically about his skill set that will wow you. I believe he has the potential to be a starting quarterback in the NFL down the line because of what he brings on and off the field.

Alabama’s success in the semifinal game against Michigan State centered on making that team one-dimensional. Running back Larry Scott, the hero of the Big Ten Championship Game for Michigan State, was held to just 8 yards on the ground, as the Spartans averaged just 1.1 yards per carry on the day. This Clemson attack, however, is completely different than what the Tide saw against Michigan State, and a lot of that has to do with the Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson.

The true sophomore quarterback ran for over 1,000 yards this year, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. The Tigers, much like the Ohio State team that beat Alabama a year ago in the playoffs, have an offense focused on speed, tempo and deception. The zone-read element will be a huge factor in this game, and whether it’s Watson carrying the ball or running back Wayne Gallman, or any of the receivers that you’ll see used on jet-sweep action throughout the night, the Alabama front seven’s eye discipline will be put to the test.

The No. 14 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Barnett set a new school record at Tennessee with 33 career sacks, surpassing the previous record of 32 set by Pro Football Hall of Famer and Eagles legend Reggie White. Barnett was the first true freshman to start along the defensive line in school history. He earned first-team All-America honors from the Associated Press as a junior in 2016 after registering a career-high 13.0 sacks with 56.0 tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 16 hurries, and 2 forced fumbles.

With the No. 14 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles jersey selected former Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett on Thursday night.

The 6-3, 259-pound Barnett was a three-year starter at right defensive end. In fact, Barnett was the first true freshman in Volunteers history to start along the defensive line.

After adding Derek Barnett to the front seven on Thursday, the Eagles added their second straight defensive piece on Friday by selecting Washington cornerback Sidney Jones with the 43rd-overall pick.

Jason Peters is the preferred left foot of the NFL

cheap Philadelphia Eagles jerseys

Two more Eagles will be joining Jason Peters and Fletcher Cox at the Pro Bowl in Orlando this weekend, as Jason Kelce and Darren Sproles have been added to the NFC roster.

So they entered free agency in the spring of 2009 intent on doing just that, even if the moves came at a considerable cost. They acted first in free agency, signing Stacy Andrews – the brother of right guard Shawn – from the Cincinnati Bengals. And then in April, just five days prior to that year’s draft, the Eagles struck a deal with Buffalo to acquire disgruntled left tackle Jason Peters, a converted tight end who had been to two Pro Bowls with the Bills and who wanted to be paid as one of the best at his position in the NFL.

It’s fair to say that Jason Peters, one of the premier left tackles in the entire NFL, is right at the top of the list among the MIE for 2016.

Both Kelce and Sproles are replacing Atlanta Falcons players. With the Falcons headed to Houston for Super Bowl LI, center Alex Mack and running back Devonta Freeman will not be attending the Pro Bowl. For Kelce, the Pro Bowl nod is his second as a pro, with his first appearance coming after his 2014 season. Kelce started all 16 games for the Eagles for the second-consecutive season.

He was a first alternate this year and really should have been chosen. One of the things that hurt him is he wasn’t expected to play at such a high level. Pro Bowl players usually have gaudy stats, come from winning teams, or are veterans who have been selected before and have a strong reputation. Graham fell through the cracks in those areas, but his 2016 season really put him on the map. If he can repeat this performance next season, he will make the Pro Bowl.

Additionally, restricted free agent guard Matt Tobin signed his one-year tender Monday morning. In three seasons, Tobin appeared in 30 games for the Eagles, starting 20 of them. He saw extended action as a starter in 2015 after injuries along the offensive line.

The 5-11, 199-pound Gratz was drafted in 2013 out of UConn. He played in 10 games (8 starts) as a rookie and tied for the team lead with two interceptions. He became a full-time starter in 2014 and started 13 out of the 15 games that he played in. Gratz posted a career-high 55 tackles that season. He was released by the Jaguars this past October and claimed by the Rams, with whom he played three games with.

On Friday morning, the Eagles officially tendered a one-year contract to guard Matt Tobin, who is scheduled to be a restricted free agent.

Lovato was a rookie in 2015 who landed with the Packers in a similar situation like he is in now in Philadelphia. A Middletown, New Jersey native, Lovato was signed late last year after an injury to the Philadelphia Eagles jersey china  primary long snapper Brett Goode. He was briefly with Washington earlier this season when long snapper Nick Sundberg was injured.

The Eagles signed two more players to reserve/future contracts on Wednesday – guard Josh LeRibeus and wide receiver Dom Williams.

The 6-2, 310-pound LeRibeus has 12 games of NFL starting experience under his belt. The former third-round pick of the Washington Redskins out of SMU in 2012 played five games at guard in his rookie season including the regular season finale when Alfred Morris rushed for a career-high 200 yards.

In 2015, LeRibeus was moved to center and started 11 games when Kory Lichtensteiger was sidelined with a neck injury. He was in the starting lineup for the team’s four-game win streak at the end of the season when Washington captured the NFC East crown.

Carson Wentz is a very powerful star player

eagles stuff cheap

The NFL Draft is about a month away. The Eagles have made their major moves in free agency, so we have a feel for what holes are left on the roster and where the team could use an upgrade in talent. The Eagles drafted Carson Wentz second overall last year. Now, they need to provide him with some more weapons and they need to find some young talent to add to the defense. With that in mind, here is my first Eagles mock draft of the year.

There were a lot of really great things to take away from the film of the Eagles’ offensive film from Thursday night’s win over the New York Giants. The run game looked strong once again. Carson Wentz was proficient. There were a lot of great concepts from the coaches, and the offensive line looked good against a tough New York front four with the return of Lane Johnson. That was evident from the first play of the game.Nike Eagles #72 Cedric Thornton Midnight Green Team Color Men's Stitched NFL New Elite Jersey

Ron Jaworski is watching. He is always watching and taking notes and understanding what Carson Wentz is going through every step of the way. Jaworski was a quarterback in Philadelphia, of course, and he knows about the scrutiny and the spotlight and the pressure and the opinions. He has seen the Eagles’ franchise rookie quarterback play 10 NFL games and he has a very definite opinion of the progress Wentz is making.

“I think Carson has been tremendous,” Jaworski said on Saturday at the NovaCare Complex as he watched the team practice ahead of Monday night’s game against Green Bay. “Unfortunately, people just look at stats and they look at wins and losses. When I look at Carson Wentz, I look at the tape. I watch the game as a fan on gamedays, like everyone does, but the first thing I do when I get to my office each week is watch Carson Wentz on tape to see how he is developing. This is a long-term solution. This is not a one-game, one-quarter, one-play operation, so what I see is a quarterback developing and making every throw.

“Remember, this is a quarterback who missed time in Training Camp and who missed most of the preseason so he is still growing and developing within the system. I still think he is going to be one of the premier quarterbacks in this league for a long, long time.”

philadelphia eagles jerseys 2015

The Eagles are 5-5 and in need of a victory on Monday night to vault into December in a solid playoff-chase position. Wentz played in one preseason game and missed meaningful camp time recovering from a broken rib. He was named the starter eight days before the regular season opener after the Eagles dealt Sam Bradford to Minnesota, and then played three virtually flawless games as the Eagles began 3-0 and owned September. The sledding has been much more difficult for Wentz and the Eagles since then, as they’ve gone 2-5 in the seven games since. Wentz has completed 63.2 percent of his passes, with 11 touchdown passes and seven interceptions for the season.

Wide receiver was a critical need before the signings of Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith. The Eagles now have a good group for 2016. As Howie Roseman pointed out at the Senior Bowl, receiver is a position where it can take a year or two for players to develop. With that in mind, the Eagles could draft a receiver now to help them in 2018 or even 2019. We have to see if there are any players they are really high on.eagles gear cheap

It’s been an all-too-common theme for the Eagles this season. Small mistakes add up and suddenly the team finds itself on the losing side of the game, just as it did again this Sunday against the Redskins.

On the Washington 14-yard line with 21 seconds to play, quarterback Carson Wentz and the offense had an opportunity to complete a comeback. They let that chance slip away.

Groh doesn’t just have success with receivers at the NFL level

Philadelphia Eagles jersey china

The Eagles have not had a 1,000-yard receiver since Jeremy Maclin gained 1,318 yards in 2014. Groh coached three 1,000-yard seasons in Chicago – two by Alshon Jeffery (1,421 in 2013 and 1,133 in ’14) and one by Brandon Marshall (1,295 in 2013). Both Marshall and Jeffery earned Pro Bowl honors in 2013.

Groh doesn’t just have success with receivers at the NFL level. He was Alabama’s wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator from 2011-12. The Crimson Tide won the National Championship both seasons. As a true freshman in 2012, future No. 4 overall pick Amari Cooper had 59 catches for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns, including the go-ahead score to beat Georgia in the SEC Championship.NFL Philadelphia Eagles Stitched Snapback Hats 013

The Chicago Bears may have only put up 14 points last Sunday against the Houston Texans, but this is an offense that can present a lot of issues from a matchup standpoint. It all starts on the outside with former second-round pick Alshon Jeffery. At 6-3, Jeffery’s ability to go up and win in contested situations makes him as tough a cover as anyone in the NFL. He isn’t the fleetest of foot, but his ability to separate at the catch point allows him to come down with grabs that most in the league can’t make.

Similar to the Eagles and Dorial Green-Beckham, the Bears like Jeffery to use his size to his advantage down the field on vertical routes. He does a really nice job attacking the football down the field (two of his four catches last week came on deep throws), and some of his best plays every year he’s been in the league have come off of shot plays or fade balls on the perimeter.

One of the newest pieces of information to come from Pederson’s media availability regards the Eagles’ 2017 schedule. The time and dates for the 2017 NFL season will be released sometime next month (potentially the week of April 17, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter), but before the schedule is officially made, the team did put in one request with the league.

The Eagles are scheduled to play both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers on the road, and instead of having to travel twice from coast to coast to the same location, the Eagles have requested to have those two games played back to back so the team can stay out west for the week.

Wentz had some great moments in 2016. He showed a strong, accurate arm. He made some terrific throws. His deep ball to Jordan Matthews in the first Redskins game was right on the money and led to a huge gain. Wentz showed the ability to create big plays. Remember the 73-yard touchdown pass to Darren Sproles in the win over Pittsburgh? That was a great play. Late in the season Wentz made several Houdini-like plays where he avoided rushers in the backfield and then either scrambled for a gain or threw a pass. There was also Wentz running for the touchdown late in the Ravens game. That was a clutch play that gave the Eagles the chance to win.

One thing that will help Wentz is having a better supporting cast. You can conservatively estimate that he would have had another five touchdown passes if receivers just held onto the ball on some plays. If the cheap Eagles jerseys can find guys who can make the easy catches and then also make a tough play or two, Wentz’s numbers will get a lot better and the Eagles will win more games. Both have to happen for him to make the Pro Bowl.

Darren Sproles has certainly made a name for himself in the NFL, but it wasn’t an easy road on the way to receiving Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. Prior to being drafted by San Diego in 2005, he heard constant criticism about his size. Standing at only 5-6, Sproles has proved his doubters wrong time and time again.

Over the past two seasons, Sproles is the NFL’s leading punt returner, picking up 952 yards and four touchdowns, and was named to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season. Recently, we spoke to Sproles about his NFL journey, including the ups, downs and lessons learned throughout his 11-season playing career. Find out what the journey was like through the eyes of the veteran.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that Brian Dawkins, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and a member of the club’s Hall of Fame, has been added to the team’s scouting department. Dawkins is the franchise’s inaugural recipient of the Nunn-Wooten Scouting Fellowship, a new program launched by the NFL aimed at introducing former players to the world of player personnel and the duties of an NFL scout.

Brian Dawkins and Donovan McNabb are one step closer to Canton. The modern-era nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced on Wednesday night. The legendary safety and the prolific quarterback are both nominees in their first year of eligibility.

Between earning seven Pro Bowl selections with the Eagles as well as a Super Bowl appearance, one might say this has been a long time coming. For Dawkins, the thought of receiving the honor only started when he was approaching the end of his playing career.

That should come as no surprise to Eagles fans since they witnessed “Weapon X” pour his heart and soul into the Eagles’ defense for 13 seasons. Former safety Brian Dawkins, already a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame, is one of the 18 players, coaches and contributors who will be on the ballot for enshrinement when the Hall of Fame’s Board of Selectors chooses the Class of 2017 on February 4, the eve of Super Bowl LI, in Houston. Former wide receiver Terrell Owens is also a finalist.

“It’s a blessing to be mentioned among the names of so many other guys who have made it this far, let alone to be hopefully in the Hall of Fame someday,” Dawkins said at the NovaCare Complex late Tuesday afternoon. “I don’t take these things for granted. I understand the plight of safeties (in the Pro Football Hall of Fame). To make it this far in my first year, it’s a tremendous, tremendous honor.”

The embodiment of what it means to play football in the City of Philadelphia, Dawkins was a physical and spiritual leader for 13 seasons with the Eagles. He was a Pro Bowl selection seven times, tied for the second most in franchise history. Dawkins finished as the team’s all-time leader in both games played (183) and interceptions (34) by the end of his tenure with the Eagles in 2008.

For the first time this season, the Eagles are on track to have a full complement of receivers in a game, with tight end Zach Ertz on track to play Sunday in Detroit. What does that mean for the offense?

“There are a lot of advantages to having three really good tight ends,” Ertz said, “and in my opinion we do have that. I think there are going to be a lot of options out of that package, and  Philadelphia Eagles jerseys I think it’s going to grow throughout the year.”

Zach Ertz’s third season in the NFL got off to a rockier start than he and most fans expected. After a standout sophomore season in 2014 in which his receiving yardage jumped up over the 700-yard mark for the first time, his 2015 campaign started with a core muscle injury that kept him off the field for the Eagles’ entire preseason schedule.

One of the things when I look over all of the athletes that I idolize, per se – [Los Angeles Lakers Forward-Guard] Kobe Bryant and [Dallas Cowboys TE] Jason Witten are two of the athletes that I have looked up to since I was a young kid and those two guys stayed in their cities throughout their entire careers. That’s the kind of legacy that I want to leave here in Philadelphia. When people think of great tight ends in Philly, I want to be the guy that they think of. I look at Dawkins [former Eagles S Brian Dawkins], I look at Donovan [former Eagles QB Donovan McNabb], I look at Westbrook [former Eagles RB Brian Westbrook], and these guys have left lasting legacies in this city. Those are the guys that I want to be mentioned with.

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with linebacker Nigel Bradham.

Last season, Bradham started the first 11 games of the year and compiled 57 tackles, the fourth-highest total on the team, before an injury cut his season short.

Nick Foles’ performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 31-20 Eagles win last Sunday earned him praise and accolades that extended beyond Philadelphia. On the heels of going 22-of-31 for 296 yards and three touchdowns, while adding another touchdown on a four-yard rush, and putting up a 133.3 quarterback rating, he was honored as the “Air” recipient of the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week award for Week 6, as voted on by fans. Foles will start his second straight game, against the Dallas Cowboys, this Sunday at 1 PM.Men's Nike NFL Philadelphia Eagles Sideline Legend Authentic Logo Tank Top Blue

It is the second time this season that an Eagles player has been honored as a FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week. Running back LeSean McCoy won the “Ground” award following his 31-carry, 184-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Washington Redskins in a Week 1 victory.

The award is also a major benefit to local communities, as FedEx made a $2,000 donation in Foles’ name to the Philadelphia local area office of Junior Achievement, which aims to help U.S. small business development by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.

By virtue of Saturday’s NFL Divisional Round results at least one Pro Bowl quarterback is going to be in the Super Bowl. That means Foles, as the first alternate, will get the opportunity to take his place. Not bad for someone who wasn’t even a starter in Week 1.

Foles led the league with a 119.2 passer rating, which was the third-highest in NFL history. Foles threw 27 touchdown passes against just two interceptions for the greatest touchdown-to-interception ratio in NFL history.

He started the last eight games of the season (10 total) and led the Eagles to wins in seven of those contests to help the team earn the NFC East title for the first time since 2010. Foles tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes in the win at Oakland on November 3. Foles’ 152.8 passer rating for the month of November was the highest in any calendar month in NFL history.

Men’s Nike NFL Philadelphia Eagles Sideline Legend Authentic Logo Tank Top Dark Blue

Bradham, 26, joins the Philadelphia Eagles jerseys after spending the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills where he played in 57 games with 38 starts and compiled 242 tackles (154 solo), 3.5 sacks, 13 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception. Originally a fourth-round selection of the Bills in the 2012 NFL Draft, Bradham started 11 games as a rookie and totaled 47 tackles in his first campaign.
In 2014, while playing under current Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, Bradham started 14 games and racked up a career-high 100 tackles — the second-highest total on the team — while also recording 2.5 sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and seven pass breakups.

With Wentz having gained a full season of experience as a rookie and now coming into Year 2 way ahead of the game from a maturity standpoint and a full comprehension of the scheme, and now that he has some established NFL weapons outside with Jeffery and Smith, it’s fair to expect a big leap up for the offense.

That’s the thinking. That’s the hope. And Pederson feels that way, even as he approaches the next steps with the usual coaching caution.

“I think we’re going to be much improved, but we have to see how it goes,” he said. “We have to stay healthy and the ball has to bounce our way, but, yeah, I’m excited to work with these guys and get them out there and see what we have.”

Free agency has slowed to a trickle, but the Eagles are still likely to add some pieces between now and the draft in late April. Pederson would not get specific on what’s happening next, or who the Eagles might be targeting in the draft, but it’s safe to say the level of optimism is high.

Tyrod Taylor primed for a run in the fantasy playoffs

Kirk Cousins’ toss to Pierre Garcon through the teeth of a whipping Washington wind last Sunday night acted as an exorcism. An hour before he asked the question to his boss, Cousins drew America close and screamed in our ear about his newfound vertical prowess: How you like me now?

Cousins is only No. 14 in my season-long rankings below, but that number is marred by a brutal first five weeks that lacked a single positive game. Since Week 6, he’s been a top-five quarterback in my hare-brained system, with his deep throws adding a missing piece to his profile. Cousins’ raw numbers were better down the stretch last season, but he’s a better quarterback during this streak.

I loved everything about Cousins joyously challenging his boss, general manager Scot McCloughan, with his postgame exultation. Yet the question remains unanswered: How does McCloughan like Cousins now?

The next six weeks will go a long way in determining Cousins’ future. By continuing the hot streak, Cousins would put incredible pressure on the Redskins to give him a long-term deal — and the QB would have all the leverage, allowing him to only accept a top-shelf offer ($20 million-plus per season). He knows that big money would be waiting around the free agency corner, so don’t assume staying with the Redskins is a done deal yet.

In this week’s QB Index, I’ll look at what’s at stake the rest of the season for starting quarterbacks. For Cousins, it’s a boatload of cash and the ability to control the next phase of his career. Six weeks is an eternity in the NFL, plenty of time to prove his boss wrong cheap NFL jerseys again and again.

Those players will be joined by 2016 finalists such as Kurt Warner, Terrell Davis jersey, Terrell Owens, John Lynch and Don Coryell.Other first-year eligibles include safety Brian Dawkins, defensive end Jason Taylor and wide receiver Hines Ward.

Davis, the former Denver Broncos running back, has made the semifinalist list 11 times, the most of any nominee this year.

Davis, Warner, Owens and former Dallas Cowboys jerseys coach Jimmy Johnson will be interesting names to track when the debates heat up in January. Once the list is reduced to 15 finalists, those candidates will join Senior Finalist Kenny Easley and 2017 Contributor Finalists Jerry Jones and Paul Tagliabue when the 48-member Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee meets to vote on the eve of Super Bowl LI.

Nothing is ever easy in fantasy football, and that’s what makes it fun. Whether the issue is injuries, poor matchups or underperformance it’s rare that we can count on starting the same players week-in-and-week-out. Sometimes we have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for options in good spots that given week for a desperation play.

Here we will look at five candidates each week, one or two from each of the four fantasy-relevant positions that make good spot starts in their upcoming games. With the fantasy playoffs at our doorstep, these players should hopefully be sitting on the end of your bench, but whether by newfound opportunity or a good matchup, they present sneaky value for the coming week or even into the fantasy postseason.

Tyrod Taylor, QB, Buffalo Bills

Nick Foles Philadelphia Eagles Nike Game JerseyTyrod Taylor is already the QB12 overall on the season, so this isn’t exactly a surprise starter. However, he’s someone worth owning and starting for the duration of the fantasy playoffs.

Taylor starts his end of season schedule facing the Raiders this week. Oakland is tied with the Colts for the highest yards per play allowed (6.2) so far this year and give up the most yards per completion. Buffalo wants to use a conservative game plan, but playing in Oakland against a high-powered offense should force them out of their shell. Taylor is a pristine deep ball passer, and now has the Sammy Watkins cheat code back in the lineup. Watkins brings the icing on the cake to Taylor’s deep ball and registered a whopping 23.4 air yards per target in his Week 12 return.

The added bonus of Taylor is his remaining rest of season schedule. After his duel with Oakland he gets the Steelers, Browns, Dolphins and Jets. All of those teams rank in the top-half of the NFL in yards per completion allowed to quarterbacks on the season. With Watkins back in the fold, Taylor looks like a league-winning quarterback play the rest of the way. The receiver did suffer a setback in practice this week, but even if he’s on the field for a limited amount of snaps like he was in Week 12, it’s a huge boost for Taylor.

Darren Sproles, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

The Bengals defense has certainly taken a noticeable step back this year all around. One area where they’ve been particularly weak is at slowing down running backs, and not just on the ground. Opposing teams have targeted running backs 92 times against the Bengals this year, which only trails the Falcons’ whopping 114 targets allowed.

With inconsistent play at wide receiver and along the offensive line, the Eagles continue to scale back their offense. Carson Wentz threw only one pass that traveled farther than 20 yards in the air on Monday night, which was intercepted by Packers safety, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Conversely, Darren Sproles’ role continues to grow as an outlet receiver. Sproles has target totals of seven, nine, 10, one and seven over the last five games after averaging just 3.5 per game over his first six contests of the year. Whether Ryan Mathews plays or not, Sproles is in prime positon to absorb solid volume this week.

Willie Snead, WR, New Orleans Saints

The Lions allow league-highs in completion rate (74 percent) and passer rating (106.4). Their pass defense has been picked apart all season, but especially in the short areas of the field and by quick passing games. Detroit gives up the third-highest passer rating (101.3) on passes where the quarterback had a time to throw of 2.50 seconds or less. That’s not a good mark in their ledger to carry this week, as they’ll face Drew Brees who gets the ball out of his hands with great quickness. Brees’ time to throw of 2.38 seconds is the second-lowest among NFL starters this year.

Slot receiver Willie Snead is the top short-area passing option on the Saints this year. Snead’s 7.1 air yards per target is the lowest among the Saints wide receivers and tight ends who have more than 20 targets on the year. If Brees is picking apart the Lions with quick-timing throws, his slot receiver could be his preferred target on the day. Snead has four or more catches in all but two games this season.
